Inhale .................. exhale,
Inhale .................. exhale,
You inhale a deep breath,
But the oxygen does not seem to reach your lungs,
Your fingers become numb,
Your arms limp,
Your eyes have become blurry from all the tears.
You begin to feel a swell of unbearable pain in your stomach,
Your head becomes heavy and dizzy.
The spinning begins and the flashes of the past emerge.
The Grief is too overwhelming and your legs give way.
You fall to your knees with one hand on the ground to keep your balance.
Your heart, quick to expand, but slow to retract, only seems to be enlarging with immense Agony.
Your free hand moves slightly to cover the heart from the anguish pouring over it, but is too weak.
The Sorrow is too great, and the Comfort too little.
The Pain only becomes more overwhelming as you realize you have just lost your only great Love.
The sounds grow lighter and lighter,
And everything is deaf.
The light shrinks farther and farther away,
And finally, everything is dark.
The eerie silence and the lonely darkness have become your world.
You are alone ... in the Dark.
